Southbridge; Cable Stay Footbridge
The lightweight cable-stayed steel bridge superstructure which was to be part of a new housing development was designed, manufactured and installed by CTS.
Because of the low structural stiffness of the deck itself both the natural frequency and the installation methodology was crucial to the design.
CTS's own experienced bridge installation team installed the bridge cable tower first, then once the superstructure was erected, attached the tensioned cables.
