McAlpine; Modified Pratt Truss Bridge
The 43m long footbridge is a U frame stiffened modified pratt truss with steel type A vertical parapet infill. Due to the long span the arched bridge was delivered in sections and assembled on site.
The superstructure was required as part of the 'Safe Route to Schools' initiative to provide a safe pedestrian bridge for the children walking to school.
