The long span and variation in aspect ratio in the cross section made the bridge susceptible to flutter vibration considerations which CTS's design made allowances for.
Due to the span the bridge was delivered to an assembly area created by closing off a portion of the carriageway in three sections. Here, it was assembled to a complete single unit and lifted into position in a single lifting operation
